UI Artist Needed for Big Project!

Posted by FrostedMuffins - September 30th, 2011

Hey Everybody!

I'm working on a huge game project right now in the GamePipe program at USC. It's a year long project with a dedicated team, and we're cookin up some cool stuff.

We've got 11 engineers, 3 designers, 3 composers, 2 sound designers and a bunch of 3d artists.

The game is called In Memory and we're developing in Unreal Development Kit. The main mechanic is managing your memory of physical objects to solve puzzles. It's kind of like Portal meets Amnesia. There will lots of puzzles mixed with tension and action sequences.

Luckily UDK supports Scaleform for UI, which uses Flash!

So if there are any awesome flash artists out there who would be interested in doing some User Interface work on a big game, please let me know!

here's a screenshot of our Library level, to see more go to In Memory Presentation and skip to the end

that looks pretty rad dude, can't wait for more updates!

Thanks man! Diggin Closure too :D

There a particular style you're going for?

Sort of like gothic/mysterious/wispy

Looks very professional. What does the Unreal engine use to display graphics? OpenGL?

sounds excitin' !

yessir!

You forgot to mention payment. :P

It's a student project, we're not doing it for pay.

However, the finished game would look awesome on anyone's resume :)

just saw the other screenshots, UDK seems like a really powerful engine. are you guys submitting to Make Something Unreal? Are they doing that this year?

If they're doing another one we'll definitely enter. Ya UDK is pretty sweet, takes care of a lot of the core so we can focus on the gameplay.

Yeah OK I see how it is, ignore the OpenGL users. >:|

ha sorry man, i dunno
